Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Locum Veterinarian to support a busy veterinary practice offering comprehensive medical and surgical care in a well-equipped clinical environment. This locum role is suitable for experienced veterinarians who appreciate variety in caseload and flexible work arrangements while maintaining high standards of patient care.

The successful clinician will join an established team providing tailored care for pets of all temperaments and circumstances, working in a modern facility with both small and large animal services available. The position allows visiting veterinarians to practise confidently, contribute clinical expertise, and engage with a supportive support staff.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing detailed medical assessments and preventative healthcare  
  • Performing routine surgical procedures and dental work  
  • Managing diagnostic and imaging services effectively  
  • Communicating treatment plans clearly and compassionately to clients  
  • Collaborating with support staff to maintain efficient clinical workflow  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification  
  • Eligibility for veterinary licensure in British Columbia  
  • Proven small animal clinical experience in general practice  
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour  
  • Comfort working independently and adapting to varying caseloads
