Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Lead Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped overnight service in a senior clinical role, delivering high-quality emergency and inpatient care across a 7 nights on, 14 nights off pattern. This opportunity would suit a vet with a strong interest in emergency and critical care who enjoys managing urgent cases, supporting clinical standards, and providing confident guidance during night shifts.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS registration or eligibility to register is essential
- Experience in emergency, critical care, or hospital-based small animal work preferred
- Confidence managing overnight cases, clinical decisions, and patient handovers
- Ability to support colleagues through calm leadership and clear communication
- Strong commitment to patient care, client updates, and professional standards
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing emergency consultations, procedures, and inpatient care overnight
- Preparing clear treatment plans and communicating updates to clients
- Overseeing clinical handovers for patients requiring continued care
- Supporting nursing involvement and efficient use of clinical skills
- Maintaining high standards of compliance, records, and patient safety
Package:
- Seven nights on followed by fourteen nights off
