Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to step into a lead clinical position within a close-knit first-opinion setting. The role offers genuine influence over clinical direction, team development and standards of care, while allowing the successful candidate to remain actively involved in consultations, procedures and the management of a varied small animal caseload.
This opportunity would suit a confident RCVS-registered veterinarian with strong leadership instincts who enjoys mentoring colleagues and helping a practice progress. In addition to overseeing clinical quality and supporting veterinary development, the Lead Vet will work closely with operational colleagues on workflow, performance and service improvement. The rota includes approximately 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital, together with participation in the on-call rota, offering additional exposure to more complex cases.
