Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to join a high-acuity 24/7 clinical setting with access to advanced diagnostics, critical care support and a broad range of specialist expertise. The position offers exposure to complex emergency presentations within a large, modern facility equipped for intensive monitoring, advanced imaging, emergency procedures and hospitalised patient care. This role would suit a veterinarian who is comfortable managing urgent cases and is open to working night shifts as part of a full-time schedule.
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM degree from an accredited university or recognised equivalent
- California veterinary licensure in good standing, or eligibility to obtain
- Confidence managing emergency presentations and rapidly changing clinical situations
- Commitment to high standards of patient care, communication and professional ethics
- Interest in collaborative medicine and ongoing clinical learning
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Assess and stabilise emergency patients across a varied caseload
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for urgent and critically ill animals
- Coordinate care with specialists across surgery, internal medicine, oncology, radiology and neurology
- Manage hospitalised patients requiring close monitoring and advanced supportive care
- Contribute to teaching, case discussion and shared clinical development
