Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a dedicated out-of-hours service, providing overnight emergency and critical care across a diverse small animal caseload. This part-time opportunity follows a distinctive 7-nights-on, 14-nights-off pattern and would suit a capable clinician who enjoys the challenges and autonomy associated with emergency practice.
The successful candidate will manage urgent medical presentations, diagnostic investigations and emergency surgical cases while working confidently during periods of sole charge. A dedicated day and night clinical team supports continuous patient care, while facilities include two operating theatres, ultrasound, digital radiography, an in-house laboratory and endoscopy equipment.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with established UK practice experience
- Competence across common emergency surgical procedures
- Strong diagnostic and medical case-management abilities
- Confidence undertaking sole-charge overnight clinical responsibilities
- Excellent client communication skills with a flexible approach to emergency caseloads
Package:
- Seven nights on followed by fourteen nights away from clinical duties
