Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to join a fast-paced clinical setting focused on urgent and emergency patient care. Ideally bringing at least three years of veterinary experience, the successful clinician will be confident triaging cases, prioritising diagnostics, making timely treatment decisions, and communicating clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
The role offers exposure to a varied emergency caseload where strong clinical judgement, efficient delegation, and calm decision-making are essential. Previous emergency experience would be advantageous, although veterinarians with a strong general practice background and an interest in developing their emergency and surgical skills may also be considered. Mentorship is available for clinicians looking to strengthen surgical technique and broaden confidence in acute case management.
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree with appropriate registration or eligibility to practise in Ontario
- At least three years of veterinary experience preferred
- Ability to manage urgent and emergency cases in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills with confidence supporting clients through challenging situations
- Surgical confidence or a willingness to develop surgical capability through mentorship
