Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join a large team focused on high-acuity, around-the-clock veterinary care. This role offers the chance to practice emergency medicine within a dynamic multidisciplinary hospital responding to urgent and life-threatening cases, backed by specialist expertise and advanced equipment.
In this position, you will be part of a supportive emergency team that works closely with specialties including internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, and dermatology. You will provide immediate assessments, interventions, and critical care support to patients while fostering strong communication with clients and referring veterinarians in a fast-paced clinical setting.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and stabilising pets with emergency and critically ill conditions
- Performing emergency procedures, trauma management, and intensive monitoring
- Collaborating with specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Communicating effectively with clients during high-stress situations
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) degree
- Eligibility for veterinary registration in Western Australia
- Comfortable working in a high-energy 24/7 emergency environment
