Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to join a supportive and experienced emergency team in Moonah, Hobart. In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing emergency and critical care presentations across small animal patients
- Assessing, stabilising, and treating a wide range of urgent and time-sensitive cases
- Working closely with veterinarians, nurses, and client care teams to deliver smooth patient care
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients during stressful situations
- Contributing to a collaborative, positive, and patient-first emergency hospital culture
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Current or eligible registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board in Australia
- Ideally three or more years post-graduation experience
- One to two years of ECC experience preferred, though all suitable applicants considered
- Strong communication, client management, teamwork, and emergency case-handling skills
