Job Description: Our client is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a brand-new emergency-only small animal clinic in Mandurah. This opportunity is open to full-time, part-time, permanent, or casual vets, with flexibility to shape the role around the right candidate.
The position would suit an experienced emergency vet or a confident veterinarian ready to develop further in emergency medicine. You will be joining during the early stages of the clinic’s growth, with the opportunity to help influence clinical standards, workplace culture, case flow, and the continued development of the emergency service.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied emergency caseload across day, afternoon, and overnight shifts
- Performing urgent procedures and emergency surgeries when required
- Working closely with skilled nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Delivering calm, high-quality care during time-sensitive cases
- Helping shape clinical standards within a newly established emergency service
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary qualification recognised in Australia
- Ideally 2–3 years of clinical experience
- Emergency experience highly regarded, although developing emergency vets may be considered
- Confidence managing urgent cases with support when needed
- Kind, capable, and team-focused approach to emergency medicine
