In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing emergency assessment, stabilization, and treatment for critical small animal patients
- Managing urgent medical and surgical presentations in collaboration with the ER team
- Supporting ICU case care and monitoring hospitalized emergency patients
- Communicating clearly with clients during high-pressure situations and guiding case decisions
- Working collaboratively across rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and overnights
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent qualification)
- Eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Canada
- Confidence handling emergency presentations and critical care decision-making
- Strong communication skills and calm approach in urgent clinical settings
- Interest in collaborative referral-level emergency medicine and continued development
