Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to join a supportive emergency and critical care team in Bangalow, New South Wales. This opportunity is suited to an experienced ECC vet, or a confident GP veterinarian ready to transition into emergency medicine, who wants clinical challenge without losing balance outside of work.
The role offers a varied small animal emergency caseload across evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with permanent part-time, full-time, or casual options considered. You will be supported by experienced ECC vets and nurses, modern diagnostics, ultrasound, endoscopy, ventilators, advanced monitoring, and a calm team environment focused on shared decision-making and sustainable emergency care.
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree recognised in Australia
- Current or eligible registration with the NSW Veterinary Board
- Minimum two years of ECC experience preferred
- Confident GP vets with strong foundations and an interest in emergency medicine considered
- Calm, team-focused approach with strong communication skills in high-pressure situations
Package:
- Permanent part-time, full-time, or casual options considered
- Flexible rosters across evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Hourly rates from $60 to $75 depending on experience and employment structure
- Annual salary equivalent from $119,000 to $144,000, pro rata
- No orthopaedic surgery required, with complex cases referred when needed
