Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Williamsburg, New York, USA

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a progressive general practice environment with a strong emphasis on high-quality medicine, preventative care and meaningful client relationships. This full-time opportunity is well suited to a veterinarian with four or more years of experience who is confident managing cases independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical setting.

The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload including consultations, diagnostics, general practice surgery, dentistry and preventative healthcare. Longer appointment times, dedicated administrative periods and experienced veterinary nursing support are built into the working structure, allowing for thorough case management, detailed medical records and clear communication with pet owners.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing medical and preventative care cases from initial assessment through follow-up
  • Performing routine surgical and dental procedures with confidence
  • Maintaining accurate digital records and clear client communication
  • Providing vaccination guidance and preventative healthcare education
  • Working closely with clinical colleagues to maintain consistent standards of care

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification with active New York licensure or eligibility
  • Four or more years of veterinary experience
  • Strong general practice surgical and dentistry skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Commitment to high clinical standards and preventative medicine

Package:

  • Quarterly performance bonus opportunity of approximately 12%–20%
  • Four weeks of paid time off
  • Twelve weeks of fully paid parental leave
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions
  • Four paid company holidays
  • Dedicated daily administrative time
  • Veterinary licence renewal and professional liability costs covered
  • Professional memberships and clinical reference subscriptions provided
  • Discounted veterinary care benefits
