Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Westminster, Colorado, USA

Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a full-time position expected to become available in summer 2027. This opportunity would suit a clinician who enjoys providing comprehensive companion animal care while developing long-term relationships with clients and working closely with an experienced support team.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload encompassing wellness care, preventative medicine, diagnostics, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery, and advanced medical cases. The practice also provides care for exotic pets, offering the opportunity to broaden clinical experience where there is suitable interest.

Access to urgent care services, specialist consultation support, and established professional development pathways will allow the incoming veterinarian to strengthen their skills while maintaining high standards of patient care. This role is ideal for a collaborative clinician who values autonomy, clear communication, and continued professional growth.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or an equivalent accredited qualification.
  • Current Colorado veterinary licence in good standing or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and high-quality companion animal medicine.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborative attitude with enthusiasm for continued learning.
  • Interest in exotic animal medicine would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Positive and dependable approach to daily clinical responsibilities.

Package:

  • Full-time position expected to commence in summer 2027.
  • Monthly production bonus opportunities with no negative accrual.
  • Annual continuing education allowance with dedicated paid learning days.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Employer-paid professional liability protection.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Paid maternity leave for eligible employees.
  • Long-term and short-term disability insurance.
  • Access to 24-hour virtual medical support.
  • Structured mentorship and defined career development pathways.
  • Specialist consultation support for complex clinical cases.
  • Opportunity to gain experience in exotic animal medicine.
  • Access to urgent care, advanced diagnostics, and surgical services.
