Job Description: Our client is seeking a skilled small animal veterinarian to join a busy, 24/7 veterinary hospital providing around-the-clock care for companion animals in the Riverina region. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-acuity emergency response, preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and supportive care with a focus on positive patient outcomes and clear communication with clients. 

This role offers the opportunity to work across routine consultations and advanced emergency cases in a well-equipped clinical environment. You’ll support a broad range of small animal needs, collaborate with experienced clinicians, and contribute to patient-centric care pathways while enjoying professional growth and peer support.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and managing small animal emergencies and critical cases during day and night shifts  
  • Performing comprehensive wellness exams and creating individualized treatment plans  
  • Conducting routine soft tissue surgery and dental procedures with attentive follow-up care  
  • Interpreting diagnostic imaging and in-house lab results to inform confident clinical decisions

Qualifications Needed:

  • Veterinary degree recognised in Australia (e.g., Bachelor of Veterinary Science)  
  • Eligibility for veterinary registration in New South Wales  
  • Proficiency in small animal clinical medicine and emergency care  
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
