Job Description: Our client is seeking a part-time Small Animal Veterinarian to join their friendly and established team on a permanent basis, working Fridays and Saturdays. This position is ideal for someone who values consistency in their schedule while maintaining a strong clinical focus across consultations and routine surgery.

The caseload is primarily dogs and cats, with occasional exposure to small exotics, offering a varied and engaging workload within a supportive team environment. This opportunity would suit a veterinarian who enjoys building client relationships, contributing positively to team culture, and continuing to grow professionally while benefiting from a structured, balanced working week.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing consult appointments with a high standard of patient care  
  • Performing routine surgical procedures and overseeing inpatient cases  
  • Collaborating closely with nursing staff to ensure smooth daily workflow 
  • Communicating treatment plans clearly and compassionately to pet owners  
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and contributing to clinical standards

Qualifications Needed:

  • BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia  
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in both medical and surgical small animal practice  
  • Comfortable working the specified Friday and Saturday schedule  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach  
  • Organised, proactive and motivated to continue developing professionally
