Job Description: Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a longstanding veterinary practice in Sydney. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to delivering considerate care and ensuring positive outcomes for both patients and their owners. You’ll work in a supportive clinical setting where high standards of medicine are upheld on a daily basis.

This role will involve engaging with a broad range of companion animal cases, including wellness care, diagnostics, and procedures tailored to individual pet needs. You’ll thrive in an environment where thoughtful communication and collaboration with support staff underpins every consultation.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering thorough medical assessments and diagnostic planning for dogs, cats, and small mammals  
  • Providing perioperative care and managing routine surgical cases with confidence  
  • Collaborating with nursing staff to ensure continuity of quality care  
  • Educating clients on preventive health plans and treatment expectations  
  • Upholding detailed and compliant clinical record keeping

Qualifications Needed:

  • Veterinary degree recognised for practise in Australia and eligibility to be registered  
  • Comfort with general practice medicine and surgical procedures  
  • Strong rapport skills with clients and team members  
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive clinical team
