Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join an established hospital offering a broad and rewarding mix of general practice, urgent care and emergency exposure. The position is supported by an experienced clinical team, including a senior veterinarian with more than 35 years of experience who has a strong interest in mentoring and professional development.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced clinician looking for greater case variety or a veterinarian earlier in their career who values structured support. The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital dental radiography, a dedicated dental suite and comprehensive diagnostic capabilities, allowing the successful candidate to build confidence across medicine, dentistry, surgery and more complex presentations.

Responsibilities:

Manage routine consultations, diagnostics and treatment planning across a varied small animal caseload

Participate in a collaborative local on-call rotation for urgent and emergency cases

Provide high-quality medical and surgical care while maintaining strong client communication

Work closely with experienced colleagues when managing more challenging cases

Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative clinical environment

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM degree or equivalent veterinary qualification
  • Eligible for veterinary licensing in Ontario
  • Strong commitment to patient care and client service
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills
  • Interest in continued learning and developing urgent and emergency case-management skills
