Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a long-established full-service practice with a strong focus on comprehensive general medicine and continuity of care. This role would suit a clinician who enjoys combining preventive medicine with diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and geriatric care while building trusted relationships with clients over the long term.

The successful veterinarian will have access to digital radiography, ultrasound capabilities, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, alongside experienced technical support. The position follows a four-day schedule of ten-hour shifts from Wednesday through Saturday, offering a consistent weekly structure while maintaining exposure to a varied general practice caseload.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing consultations, diagnostic work-ups and treatment plans across a broad small animal caseload
  • Performing routine surgery and dentistry while maintaining high clinical standards
  • Educating clients on preventive care, treatment recommendations and long-term health planning
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and appropriate prescribing protocols
  • Working closely with experienced support staff to promote efficient patient care

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary institution
  • Current Washington veterinary licence with ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration
  • At least one year of veterinary practice experience
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical and dental capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and compassionate approach
