Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to support a welcoming general practice focused on delivering comprehensive care for companion animals. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys working across everyday veterinary medicine alongside preventative care, diagnostics, and surgical support.

The successful veterinarian will contribute to a team that emphasises thoughtful clinical planning, tailored wellness programs, and clear communication with pet owners. The practice accommodates a blend of routine appointments, preventive health initiatives, and ongoing case management, providing a balanced professional environment rooted in evidence-based care and client education.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough wellness exams and preventative care planning  
  • Performing routine surgical and dental procedures with confidence  
  • Interpreting diagnostic tests and formulating effective treatment plans  
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately about pet healthcare needs  
  • Collaborating with support staff to ensure efficient clinical operations  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification  
  • Eligibility for veterinary registration in Ontario  
  • Experience in general small animal practice  
  • Competence in routine surgery, dentistry, and emergency response  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
