Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Silverdale, Washington, USA

Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join an AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital in Silverdale. Both full-time and part-time arrangements are available, making this a flexible opportunity for a veterinarian who values high clinical standards, supportive teamwork, and a schedule that can accommodate different professional needs.

The hospital treats dogs and cats and places a strong emphasis on patient safety, including hands-free radiology practices. The incoming veterinarian will work with an experienced clinical team while managing preventative care, medical cases, diagnostics, surgery, and ongoing client communication.

This position would suit a collaborative clinician who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing trusted relationships with pet owners, and continuing to grow through structured education and practical case experience.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Examine small animal patients and investigate a broad range of medical concerns.
  • Create clear diagnostic and treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Provide preventative healthcare, vaccinations, and routine wellness advice.
  • Perform medical and surgical procedures appropriate to your experience.
  • Communicate treatment options and home-care instructions clearly to clients.
  • Use safe, hands-free techniques when completing radiographic procedures.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
  • Work closely with veterinary technicians and fellow clinicians throughout each case.
  • Support a positive team environment through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor patient progress and arrange appropriate follow-up care.
  • Uphold professional, ethical, and clinical standards at all times.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Current Washington veterinary licence in good standing or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Commitment to practising high-quality, ethical small animal medicine.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and hospital colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative veterinary team.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care and client relationships.
  • Interest in continued learning and long-term professional development.
  • Confidence managing routine companion animal consultations and clinical cases.

Package:

  • Flexible full-time or part-time employment options.
  • Continuing education allowance with paid education days.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees.
  • Paid parental leave, annual leave, and sick leave.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching.
  • Employee wellbeing and mental health support resources.
  • Professional learning opportunities through an extensive internal education platform.
  • Potential eligibility for additional variable compensation programmes.
  • Employee pet care discounts.
  • Access to clinical research and professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive AAHA-accredited hospital environment.
  • Structured weekday and Saturday operating hours.
