Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Shoreline, Washington, USA

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Shoreline, Washington, USA

Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian with a genuine interest in feline medicine to join a dedicated cat-only clinical environment. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to focus exclusively on feline patients, from routine preventive care through to complex internal medicine, geriatric, behavioural, nutritional and surgical cases.

The successful veterinarian will work alongside experienced colleagues who regularly collaborate on challenging cases, with access to advanced diagnostics, digital radiography, dentistry, surgery and an in-house laboratory. Previous feline-specific experience is welcomed but not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is eager to deepen their expertise in cat-focused medicine and low-stress handling.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing preventive, medical and surgical care exclusively for feline patients
  • Managing complex internal medicine, geriatric and behavioural cases
  • Building trusted relationships with dedicated cat owners through clear communication
  • Working collaboratively with fellow veterinarians on challenging clinical cases
  • Maintaining a calm, cat-focused approach to handling and patient care

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
  • Current Washington veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain one
  • Strong interest in feline medicine and cat-friendly handling
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continued clinical learning
  • Feline-specific experience advantageous but not essential

Package:

  • Full-time position within a feline-exclusive clinical setting
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution
  • Continuing education stipend
  • Paid time off provisions
  • Professional development opportunities focused on clinical growth
  • Veterinary licence and DEA fee support
  • Professional liability coverage included
  • Professional membership dues supported
  • Access to advanced feline diagnostic, dental and surgical resources
