Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join their long-established AAHA-accredited hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Serving the local community for over four decades, this practice combines clinical excellence with a genuinely supportive team culture.

The hospital is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory services, and soft tissue surgical facilities. The caseload includes a balanced mix of preventative care, internal medicine, and routine surgical procedures for dogs and cats. The collaborative veterinary team brings over 100 years of combined experience, creating a strong mentorship environment ideal for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

This is a full-time role structured around four 10-hour shifts per week. Veterinarians typically work one Saturday per month, with a half day off during the week when scheduled for a weekend shift, supporting a healthy work–life balance.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent  
  • Active Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)  
  • Strong foundation in small animal medicine and surgery  
  • Commitment to high clinical standards and ethical practice  
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
