Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian with a strong interest and proven capability in exotic animal medicine. Approximately half of the caseload consists of exotic species, including birds, reptiles, small mammals, wildlife, and falconry patients, alongside traditional companion animal cases. The position offers access to species-specific wards, multiple examination rooms, dedicated surgical facilities, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, rigid endoscopy, and modern electronic medical records.
This role would suit a veterinarian who enjoys clinical variety and wants to continue developing expertise across exotic and small animal medicine within a multi-doctor environment. The working structure includes no weekends, on-call duties, or after-hours emergency commitments, allowing for a predictable schedule alongside a stimulating and diverse caseload.
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM degree with California veterinary licensure or eligibility to obtain appropriate state registration
- Minimum of two years of veterinary experience
- Previous clinical experience treating exotic species
- Confidence managing a varied medical and surgical caseload
- Collaborative approach with strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
