Job Description: Our client is seeking a full-time Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join an AAHA-accredited hospital in Ridgewood. The practice combines advanced diagnostics with an integrative approach to veterinary medicine, providing an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practising high-quality companion animal medicine in a collaborative environment.
The hospital is equipped with surgical and therapeutic lasers, ultrasound, endoscopy, and thermal imaging to support a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide comprehensive medical care for canine and feline patients.
- Perform routine wellness examinations and preventative healthcare services.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out routine soft tissue surgery and dental procedures.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care clearly with clients.
- Utilise ultrasound, endoscopy, and other diagnostic tools where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver excellent patient care.
- Monitor hospitalised patients and adjust treatment plans as required.
- Follow AAHA standards and hospital safety protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
