Job Description: Our client is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a mission-driven veterinary hospital located in Richmond, Virginia. This role focuses on providing high-quality surgical and dental care for companion animals while helping make veterinary treatment accessible and affordable for pet owners.

The clinic specializes in surgical and dental procedures within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced veterinary team, managing a varied caseload while contributing to the hospital’s commitment to improving patient outcomes and reducing economic euthanasia.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing a range of soft tissue surgical procedures for companion animals  
  • Interpreting dental radiographs and completing dental treatments including extractions  
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgical procedures  
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records for all patients  
  • Collaborating with veterinary staff and referring clinics to coordinate patient care  
  • Supporting a positive and cooperative clinical team environment  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited university  
  • Eligibility for veterinary licensure within the state of Virginia  
  • Minimum two years of post-graduate clinical experience preferred  
  • Experience performing routine surgeries and dental procedures  
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills within a veterinary hospital setting
