Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to take on a senior clinical role within a busy and well-established GP setting. The position combines hands-on consulting, diagnostics, dentistry and surgery with the opportunity to provide guidance to less-experienced colleagues and contribute to clinical decision-making across the practice.
This opportunity would suit a veterinarian with approximately five or more years of experience who enjoys maintaining high clinical standards while having greater influence within their working environment. Formal leadership experience is not essential, and candidates interested in gradually developing their mentoring or leadership capabilities will be supported to do so at a sustainable pace.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a varied medical and surgical small animal caseload
- Support collaborative case discussions and knowledge sharing across the clinical team
- Mentor developing veterinarians and nursing colleagues where appropriate
- Contribute practical ideas to improve clinical workflows and client care
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear and thoughtful communication
Qualifications Needed:
- BVSc, DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Eligibility for full veterinary registration in Queensland
- Approximately five or more years of clinical veterinary experience
- Strong general practice, communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in mentoring or developing future clinical leadership skills
