Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established companion animal hospital in downtown Ottawa, Ontario. The position offers a strong small animal caseload supported by experienced RVTs and veterinary assistants, many with low-stress handling training. With digital full-body radiography, dental X-ray, paper-light systems, a loyal client base, and hands-on support from experienced staff, this role provides a great setting for a clinician looking to grow within a respected local practice.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing small animal consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and preventative care
- Supporting dentistry, nutrition counselling, and ongoing patient health recommendations
- Communicating clearly with clients to build trust and support informed decisions
- Working closely with RVTs, veterinary assistants, and support staff to maintain smooth patient care
- Contributing to a positive clinic culture built around communication, compassion, respect, and teamwork
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree with eligibility to practise in Ontario
- Valid veterinary license from an accredited university pathway
- Strong interest in client education and relationship-building
- Excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues, and support staff
- Positive attitude with enthusiasm for collaborative small animal practice
Package:
