Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Old Reynella, South Australia, Australia

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced part-time Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a close-knit clinical team providing compassionate care across dogs, cats, pocket pets, and occasional exotic cases. The position offers a varied general practice caseload combining consultations, routine medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and preventive healthcare, supported by ultrasound, digital radiography, dental X-ray, and an in-house laboratory.

This opportunity is particularly suited to a veterinarian looking for genuine flexibility alongside continued clinical development. The role is available for two to three days per week, with working days negotiable, together with participation in a rotating Saturday morning roster. Veterinarians with an interest or additional experience in dentistry, diagnostic imaging, or surgery would be particularly well matched to the caseload.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Veterinary degree recognised for registration to practise in Australia
  • At least two years of experience across consultations and general practice surgery
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to establish strong client relationships
  • Organised and collaborative approach to working alongside veterinary and nursing colleagues
  • Interest in developing clinical skills across dentistry, imaging, surgery, or other areas of general practice

Package:

  • Flexible two-to-three-day working week with negotiable roster days
  • Rotating Saturday morning schedule from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • $1,500 continuing professional development allowance
  • Paid study leave supporting ongoing clinical education
  • Veterinary Board registration fees covered on a pro-rata basis
  • Radiation licence and VIN membership provided proportionately for part-time hours
  • Long-term earnings-based bonus opportunity
  • Novated vehicle leasing options available
  • Paid parental and additional pet-related leave provisions
  • Access to ongoing professional learning and career development resources
