Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to provide personalised medical and surgical care across a broad companion animal caseload. This position includes preventive medicine, dentistry, emergency presentations, complex internal medicine, surgery, geriatric support, and end-of-life care, offering excellent clinical variety within a modern and well-equipped setting.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Active California veterinary licence in good standing
  • Confidence managing routine and more complex small animal cases
  • Strong client communication and collaborative decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, individualised veterinary care

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating tailored diagnostic and treatment plans for each patient
  • Performing medical, dental, and surgical procedures within your experience
  • Managing urgent cases and coordinating appropriate follow-up care
  • Educating pet owners through clear and supportive clinical conversations
  • Working closely with experienced colleagues to maintain excellent standards
