Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established companion animal hospital. You will be working alongside experienced veterinarians and skilled support staff, managing a varied caseload of dogs and cats. The role offers the chance to further develop clinical expertise, mentor less experienced colleagues, and build long-term relationships with clients through strong communication and patient advocacy.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive medical consultations and treatment plans
- Performing routine and advanced soft tissue surgical procedures
- Managing dental cases and preventative healthcare services
- Supporting and mentoring junior veterinarians where appropriate
- Maintaining clear and compassionate communication with pet owners
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM degree with licensure in British Columbia
- Minimum of three years’ small animal clinical experience
- Confidence in both medical and surgical case management
- Interest in mentorship and team collaboration
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
