Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Veterinarian to join a friendly and close-knit clinic on a fixed-term basis. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a supportive environment where high-quality patient care and strong client relationships are at the heart of daily practice. The role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys a balanced mix of consulting and clinical responsibilities while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.

This position provides a varied caseload with the opportunity to take on sole charge responsibilities when required, supported by an experienced nursing team and well-equipped facilities. The clinic encourages continuous development and values veterinarians who are proactive, compassionate, and committed to delivering excellent standards of care.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:  

  • Providing medical and surgical care to companion animals  
  • Building strong relationships with clients through clear communication  
  • Working both independently and alongside a supportive team  
  • Maintaining accurate records and treatment plans  
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative clinic environment  

Qualifications Needed:  

  • Veterinary degree with eligibility to practice in New Zealand  
  • Minimum of several years’ experience in small animal practice  
  • Confidence in sole charge clinical situations  
  • Strong consulting and communication skills  
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
