Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited hospital in Kingwood, Texas. This established practice is supported by three highly experienced veterinarians, each bringing more than two decades of clinical expertise, creating a strong mentorship and knowledge-sharing environment.
The hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including digital radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic and surgical laser services, and soft tissue surgical facilities. The caseload is varied, covering preventative care, internal medicine, and routine surgical procedures for cats and dogs. Fear-free handling techniques and a collaborative team culture are central to daily operations.
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Full-time veterinarians typically average approximately 34 appointment hours per week, with a designated weekday off and rotating Saturday shifts. There is no on-call requirement, and nearby emergency and specialty hospitals provide after-hours support, allowing for a sustainable work–life balance.
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
- Active Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong foundation in small animal medicine and routine surgery
