Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Job Description: Our client is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a small animal setting where clinicians are encouraged to take ownership of their cases while maintaining consistently high standards of patient care. The position combines preventive medicine, diagnostics, treatment planning, and general clinical case management, providing a varied workload for a veterinarian who enjoys building long-term relationships with both pets and their owners.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practise with meaningful clinical autonomy while working alongside an experienced veterinary support team. Clear client communication and collaborative decision-making are central to the role, with ongoing development encouraged through continuing education and structured professional support.

This opportunity would suit a veterinarian who approaches medicine with sound judgement, compassion, and a positive attitude, and who is keen to continue strengthening both clinical and interpersonal skills within a full-time position.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
  • Current Florida veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain appropriate state licensure
  • Strong ability to explain clinical findings and treatment recommendations clearly to pet owners
  • Commitment to delivering consistently high standards of veterinary medicine
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively alongside veterinary support professionals

Package:

  • Annual continuing education allowance with dedicated paid learning days
  • Monthly production incentive available without negative accrual
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Professional liability insurance included
  • 401(k) retirement plan supported by employer matching contributions
  • Opportunities to develop clinical, mentoring, and leadership capabilities
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance provisions
  • Maternity leave included within the broader employment benefits
  • Full-time position offering consistent clinical exposure and professional development
  • Additional healthcare support services available as part of the benefits package
