Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established companion animal practice on a full-time basis. The initial preference is for a veterinarian with at least five years of clinical experience who can confidently manage a varied first-opinion caseload and contribute independently across consultations, diagnostics, medical treatment, surgery, and dentistry.
The position offers access to purpose-designed treatment and surgical facilities alongside imaging, laboratory diagnostics, and a broad range of medical services. The successful veterinarian will be joining a practice focused on personalised patient care, reliable clinical standards, and strong relationships with pet owners throughout the local community. Once the experienced appointment has been secured, an additional opportunity may also be considered for a suitable new graduate.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing routine and more involved small animal consultations
- Investigating medical cases using available imaging and laboratory diagnostics
- Performing surgical and dental procedures within individual clinical competency
- Developing practical treatment plans and maintaining continuity of patient care
- Building strong relationships with clients through clear and professional communication
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree with eligibility for registration in Queensland
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience preferred for the initial appointment
- Confidence handling a varied small animal medical and surgical caseload
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative and client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider clinical team
