Job Description: Our client is seeking a small animal veterinarian to join a companion animal service supporting a close-knit community in the Auckland Region. This role offers a steady and varied caseload, allowing the successful candidate to work across preventative care, diagnostics, and routine surgical procedures while delivering consistent, high-quality veterinary services.

The position provides a supportive clinical environment where collaboration and clear communication are encouraged. This opportunity suits a veterinarian who enjoys community-based practice and values building long-term relationships with clients and their pets.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:  

  • Providing medical consultations and preventative healthcare for small animals  
  • Managing routine diagnostic work and treatment plans  
  • Performing common surgical procedures with care and confidence  
  • Communicating clearly with pet owners regarding ongoing care  
  • Working closely with nursing and support staff to maintain clinical standards 

Qualifications Needed:  

  • Veterinary degree eligible for registration in New Zealand  
  • Experience in small animal practice or strong general clinical skills  
  • Comfort handling routine medical and surgical cases  
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Team-focused approach with a practical mindset
