Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced small animal veterinarian to join a vibrant and supportive team in the Hawke’s Bay region. In this role you will work alongside a skilled clinical group delivering high-quality care across a broad range of companion animal cases, helping to strengthen patient outcomes through sound medical and surgical practice. With a mix of complex medicine and routine surgeries, this position offers scope to apply your clinical expertise while contributing to a collegial environment focused on professional growth.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:  

  • Perform comprehensive medical examinations, diagnostics and treatment planning  
  • Execute routine and advanced surgical procedures with confidence  
  • Deliver clear and compassionate communication to caregivers  
  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff as an integral team member  
  • Contribute to practice development and clinical discussions

Qualifications Needed:  

  • Veterinary degree and full registration eligible in New Zealand  
  • Proven experience treating a diverse range of small animal cases  
  • Strong diagnostic and surgical capability  
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills  
  • Professional attitude with a collaborative teamwork mindset
