Job Description: Our client is seeking a veterinarian to join a busy and well-equipped small animal practice offering a broad and engaging caseload, with occasional exotic patients. The position provides opportunities to pursue interests across general medicine, wellness care, routine and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, and more advanced case management, supported by highly capable veterinary technicians and assistants.
This role offers exceptional scheduling flexibility, including the possibility of rotational working patterns with extended periods away from the clinic. A limited shared on-call commitment may form part of the position, typically ranging from no nights to approximately three or four nights per month depending on individual preference, with veterinary technician support provided during after-hours cases. New graduates can benefit from structured mentorship, while experienced veterinarians will have considerable freedom to develop their preferred areas of clinical practice.
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM degree with Alberta veterinary licensure or eligibility to obtain appropriate provincial registration
- Strong interest in small animal medicine, with exotic animal experience considered advantageous
- Positive and adaptable approach to managing a diverse and fast-moving caseload
- Clear communication skills with a collaborative attitude toward colleagues and clients
- Commitment to continued clinical learning and consistently high standards of patient care
