Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Associate Veterinarian for a FIFO opportunity across two well-established clinics in Central Queensland. This role offers a 2-week-on, 2-week-off roster, with flights, accommodation, and a vehicle provided.
The position is suited to a confident veterinarian with at least 3 years of small animal experience who enjoys consultations, diagnostics, surgery, and regional practice. You will work across two supportive clinic environments located close together, with modern equipment and experienced clinical teams.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied small animal caseload across consultations, diagnostics, and surgery
- Working across two connected clinic teams during each FIFO rotation
- Supporting continuity of care and case progression for local clients and patients
- Communicating clearly with clients and colleagues throughout treatment planning
- Participating in a shared after-hours roster with teletriage support
Qualifications Needed:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in small animal practice
- Confident working independently in a busy clinical setting
- Strong clinical reasoning and client communication skills
- Team-focused approach with an interest in regional veterinary care
- Eligibility to practise as a veterinarian in Australia
