Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

Job Description: Our client is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join an established small animal practice providing comprehensive care for companion animals. The successful candidate will become the fourth veterinarian within the current clinical team and will work between 32 and 40 hours each week.

This position offers exposure to preventive healthcare, dentistry, diagnostic investigations, soft tissue surgery and pain management. Additional services include rehabilitation, laser therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care and regenerative treatment options, creating opportunities to manage a varied caseload and broaden clinical interests.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering preventive, medical and diagnostic care for companion animal patients
  • Performing routine dental and soft tissue surgical procedures within individual competency
  • Interpreting laboratory, radiographic and other diagnostic findings
  • Creating practical treatment plans and explaining recommendations clearly to pet owners
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and coordinating appropriate follow-up care

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Eligibility for veterinary registration in New Brunswick
  • Compassionate and confident approach to patient and client care
  • Ability to work effectively with veterinarians, technicians and support staff
  • Commitment to ethical medicine and continued professional development

Package:

  • Full-time position offering between 32 and 40 hours per week
  • Production-based earnings in addition to the annual salary
  • Weekday working pattern with Saturdays and Sundays closed
