Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a busy first-opinion setting providing preventative healthcare, advanced diagnostics, surgical treatment, and urgent care. The role offers a diverse clinical workload and would suit a veterinarian who enjoys balancing routine appointments with more complex and time-sensitive cases while maintaining strong continuity with clients and their pets.

The successful veterinarian will have the opportunity to take an active role in diagnostic investigation and treatment planning, supported by access to modern clinical resources and additional expertise when needed. The position also provides room to strengthen existing capabilities, explore new areas of medicine, and continue developing professionally in a collaborative clinical environment.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patients and developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Managing preventative healthcare alongside medical and urgent presentations
  • Performing surgical procedures within individual experience and competency
  • Guiding pet owners through clinical findings, treatment choices, and ongoing care
  • Coordinating closely with veterinary support colleagues to maintain efficient case progression

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification from an accredited institution
  • Current Texas veterinary license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
  • Sound diagnostic reasoning and confidence managing a varied small animal caseload
  • Effective client communication skills with a professional and approachable manner
  • Commitment to high clinical standards and continued professional development
