The role provides a rewarding opportunity for a veterinarian who values professional independence, continued learning and the ability to make a meaningful contribution to animal welfare.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine and advanced surgical procedures while ensuring appropriate patient monitoring and postoperative care
  • Investigating medical conditions through comprehensive examinations, diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing

  • Responding effectively to urgent clinical situations and making timely decisions regarding patient stabilisation and treatment
  • Educating pet owners on treatment options while coordinating patient care with veterinary technicians and support colleagues

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or an equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
  • Current veterinary registration in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain the appropriate provincial licence
  • Confidence in diagnosing and treating medical conditions and performing routine surgical procedures
  • Strong communication abilities with a compassionate approach to client education and animal welfare
  • Ability to manage emergency presentations while collaborating effectively with experienced veterinary professionals

Package:

  • Production-based bonus opportunities offering additional earning potential beyond the annual base salary
  • Employer-supported retirement savings through an RRSP matching programme
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance benefits
  • Generous continuing education funding to encourage additional veterinary training and professional advancement
  • Veterinary Information Network membership providing access to clinical reference materials and educational resources
  • Professional liability insurance coverage and eligible veterinary membership dues paid
  • Paid annual vacation entitlement supporting time away from clinical responsibilities
  • Substantial employee discounts on veterinary treatments, medical products and pet care supplies
  • Opportunities to broaden clinical experience through varied medical, diagnostic and surgical cases
  • A collaborative professional environment encouraging clinical knowledge sharing and continued career development
