Job Description: Our client is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to deliver high-quality general practice care within a supportive small animal setting. The caseload includes preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery and urgent appointments, with strong technical assistance available throughout the working day.

This opportunity would suit a veterinarian who enjoys hands-on medicine and wants to develop further confidence in surgery and dentistry. Both recent graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply, with flexibility, mentorship and professional development available according to individual career goals.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing wellness consultations, medical investigations and urgent care cases
  • Performing routine soft tissue surgery and dental procedures
  • Explaining diagnoses, treatment plans and preventive recommendations clearly to clients
  • Using clinical resources effectively to support accurate and timely decisions
  • Maintaining detailed patient records and appropriate follow-up arrangements

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree
  • Current Michigan veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain one
  • Strong communication and client education skills
  • Confidence in surgery and dentistry or enthusiasm to develop these abilities
  • Compassionate and cooperative approach to small animal care
