Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian to join a modern companion animal practice focused on collaborative, efficient, and accessible veterinary care. The position centres primarily on dogs and cats and includes preventative healthcare, medical consultations, diagnostic investigations, treatment planning, routine procedures, surgery, and long-term wellness management. Veterinary technicians take an active role in patient assessment and client communication, allowing the veterinarian to concentrate heavily on clinical decision-making and treatment.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity averaging approximately 40 hours per week, normally arranged across three to four rotating 12-hour shifts. The successful veterinarian will have at least two years of clinical experience and should be comfortable practising independently while collaborating closely with skilled veterinary technicians and support colleagues.
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM degree with a minimum of two years of practical veterinary experience
- Full Ontario veterinary licence in good standing
- Confidence managing small animal medical, preventative, diagnostic, and surgical cases independently
- Clear and compassionate communication skills with sound clinical decision-making abilities
- Commitment to maintaining excellent professional and ethical standards of veterinary care
Package:
- Annual compensation currently advertised at $165,000
