Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a compassionate and collaborative clinical team focused on delivering high-quality care for dogs and cats. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates, with mentorship and continued learning available to support individual development and confidence in practice.
The role offers a varied small animal caseload encompassing preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, digital radiology and ultrasound. A strong support team allows veterinarians to focus on patient care while maintaining meaningful relationships with clients and working closely with colleagues.
A four-day working week provides a consistent schedule, with only one Saturday required each month. This opportunity would particularly suit a veterinarian who values teamwork, communication and a positive clinical environment while continuing to develop their professional interests.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing routine consultations and developing individual treatment plans for patients
- Providing preventative healthcare and clear guidance to pet owners
- Using diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to support clinical decisions
- Undertaking general surgical and dental procedures within your level of experience
- Collaborating with veterinary and support colleagues to maintain continuity of patient care
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Active Maryland veterinary licence or ability to obtain one
- Compassionate and confident client communication skills
- Commitment to collaborative, high-quality small animal medicine
