Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a well-equipped companion animal hospital in Austin, Texas. This full-time opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate looking for mentorship, strong clinical support, and a collaborative team environment focused on cats and dogs.
The position offers a balanced mix of wellness and sick patient care, supported by digital radiology, in-house diagnostics, hospitalisation, soft tissue surgery, and modern clinical resources. With a four-day working week, rotating Saturdays, and a team culture built around communication, learning, and low-stress handling where possible, this role provides a strong foundation for long-term growth in small animal practice.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing small animal wellness visits, sick patient appointments, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Providing soft tissue surgery, hospitalised patient care, and follow-up case management
- Communicating clearly with clients to support trust, education, and informed decision-making
- Working collaboratively with doctors and support staff to maintain smooth patient care
- Developing clinical confidence through mentorship, teamwork, and continued learning
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent qualification
- Texas veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain one

Package:
