Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a busy companion animal hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine while working in a supportive clinical environment with an experienced team of veterinary professionals.

The position offers a varied caseload including wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical procedures. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining excellent medical standards while building strong relationships with pet owners and collaborating closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform thorough patient examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic plans  
  • Carry out surgical and medical procedures in accordance with best clinical practices  
  • Communicate treatment options and preventive care recommendations to pet owners  
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records  
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure efficient daily hospital operations  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited veterinary school  
  • Active veterinary license in California or eligibility to obtain one  
  • Strong surgical confidence and clinical diagnostic abilities  
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and client relationship skills  
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced clinical setting
