Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a full-service clinical setting offering preventative healthcare, diagnostic investigation, surgery, urgent care, and more advanced case management. The position would suit a veterinarian who enjoys taking responsibility for cases from initial examination through treatment and follow-up, communicating clearly with pet owners, and continuing to build confidence across a broad range of small animal medicine. Experienced clinical support and opportunities for further learning allow the successful veterinarian to develop individual interests while maintaining consistently high standards of patient care.

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution
  • Current Texas veterinary license or eligibility to obtain appropriate state licensure
  • Strong clinical reasoning across routine, surgical, diagnostic, and urgent presentations
  • Effective communication skills with a professional and approachable manner
  • Commitment to ongoing development and evidence-based veterinary medicine

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive examinations and developing individual treatment plans
  • Investigating medical cases using appropriate diagnostic testing
  • Performing surgical procedures within personal experience and competency
  • Managing urgent presentations alongside preventative and ongoing healthcare needs
  • Guiding clients through diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up recommendations
