Job Description: Our client is seeking a Seasonal Equine Veterinarian to join a hospital-based equine team for the 2026 breeding season. This role is suited to a skilled medicine clinician with strong experience in neonatology, ICU foal care, peri-partum broodmare support, and complex equine medical cases.
The position offers a dynamic seasonal caseload within a first opinion, referral, and emergency hospital environment. You will be involved in managing high numbers of ICU foals and broodmares from leading breeding operations, while working closely with surgical, reproductive, ambulatory, and hospital-based clinicians to deliver high standards of equine care.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent degree registrable in Victoria
- Board certification in Equine Internal Medicine
- Experience managing ICU foals, peri-partum broodmares, and complex medical cases
- Excellent communication skills with clients, referring veterinarians, colleagues, and stud farms
- Strong teaching ability with confidence supporting interns during medicine rotations
