Job Description: Our client is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Veterinary Radiologist to join a well-established emergency and specialty referral facility offering advanced diagnostic capabilities and a highly collaborative clinical environment. This full-time, onsite opportunity is particularly suited to a specialist who enjoys interpreting complex imaging studies, contributing to multidisciplinary case management and providing valuable diagnostic guidance to emergency veterinarians and fellow specialists. With more than 20 specialists working across numerous disciplines, the position offers a diverse caseload and excellent opportunities to contribute to the continued development of diagnostic imaging services.
The successful candidate will have access to sophisticated imaging technology, including a 64-slice CT scanner, advanced ultrasound equipment, digital imaging systems and dedicated reporting software. Planned clinical expansion will introduce MRI and fluoroscopy, further enhancing the scope of specialist diagnostic services. A strong emphasis on education and professional collaboration also creates opportunities to mentor veterinary interns, residents and technicians while participating in clinical discussions and continuing education activities.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting advanced diagnostic imaging studies and communicating detailed findings to referring veterinary clinicians.
- Providing specialist imaging consultations for emergency, surgical, medical and other complex referral cases.
- Participating in multidisciplinary clinical discussions to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Guiding veterinary interns, residents and technical professionals through imaging interpretation and clinical education.
- Contributing expertise to the expansion of diagnostic imaging capabilities and the introduction of additional imaging services.
Qualifications Needed:
- Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Radiology or eligibility for specialist board certification.
- Recognised veterinary qualifications with eligibility to obtain the appropriate Massachusetts veterinary licence.
- Advanced knowledge of diagnostic imaging interpretation and confidence in managing varied specialist referral cases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an interest in collaborative clinical decision-making.
- Enthusiasm for professional education, mentorship and maintaining exceptional diagnostic standards.
