Job Description: Our client is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join an established small animal setting offering general practice, urgent care, and advanced referral support. The role provides the opportunity to develop a dedicated ophthalmology caseload while performing advanced ocular diagnostics, managing complex eye disease, and undertaking microsurgical procedures with the support of a highly trained technical team and a strong internal referral base.
This position would suit a specialist who values clinical autonomy, collaborative case management, and excellent client communication. The successful veterinarian will work closely with veterinary colleagues across multiple disciplines, contribute to consistently high standards of patient care, and have the freedom to develop ophthalmic services while continuing to expand their clinical expertise.
Qualifications Needed:
- DACVO certification or completion of an appropriate veterinary ophthalmology residency
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
- Oregon veterinary licensure in good standing or eligibility to obtain the required licence
- Strong ophthalmic diagnostic and microsurgical capabilities
- Clear communication skills with a collaborative and client-focused approach
